PRAGUE 5G SECURITY CONFERENCE IN 2021

The Prague 5G Security Conference will be held between 30 November and 1 December 2021 in a virtual form combined together with limited physical participation in Prague, Czech Republic. Please bear in mind that the form of the conference can be changed due to covid-19 restrictions.

The main topic of the Prague 5G Security Conference 2021 is “5G Security and Emerging and Disruptive Technologies”. The conference aims once again to gather invited government officials, representatives of international and regional organizations, as well as researchers from universities and think-tanks. The conference will build upon the previous two iterations in 2019 and 2020 and aims to foster and streamline strategic thinking about the critical importance of 5G infrastructure for ongoing and future deployment of emerging and disruptive technologies, including artificial intelligence, quantum-based technologies and internet of things. The conference further aims to promote a risk-based approach considering both technical and non-technical risks; supply chain security, trustworthiness and diversification; and democratic and ethical values in the context 5G infrastructure as an enabler for emerging and disruptive technologies.

Like in previous years, the conference will allow the participating states and organizations to exchange their experiences and share their strategic, legislative, methodological and other measures in the field of 5G security and emerging and disruptive technologies.

The outcome of this year’s conference will build upon and firmly correspond with the Prague Proposals endorsed in May 2019 and the Prague 5G Repository launched in September 2020.

Dear Colleagues,

We are very sorry to inform you that this year’s 5G Security Conference will take place in a fully virtual form.

We made this decision due to the recommendations of the Government of the Czech Republic and the announced escalating restrictive measures based on the dynamically evolving epidemiological situation. The Czech Republic is currently facing ever-increasing numbers

of infected.

Although we will not be able to hold the conference in a hybrid way, we believe that you will understand our decision. The health of each of you is paramount.

We are convinced that, despite this necessary measure, the conference will build on the success of last year’s event, which also took place virtually and met with great response.
